Unified Operations Center to Optimize Your Infrastructure/SME Capabilities
Date & Time: Thursday, September 23, 2010, 1030 - 1130 PT
Venue: Marriott Marquis, Golden Gate C2
Speaker(s): Anup Joshi, Program Manager, SYSTIME

Lafarge NA managed to optimize its TCO and maintenance of its huge infrastructure by creating a dedicated Global Services Operations Center at SYSTIME's Global Delivery Center. It created an excellent team that monitors all of its infrastructure 24/7. It responds to system- and people-generated alerts and resolves them, providing Level 2 and Level 3 support. This has helped it free up its key resources and subject matter experts (SMEs) for environment improvement and project work, as it no longer spends time responding and resolving day-to-day issues. It now devotes its time and expertise to analyze and resolve problems to avoid recurrence and launch system improvement initiatives. This has dramatically improved the end user experience.
